The hotel, grounds and the room were lovely. We really enjoyed dinner and the staff were all lovely.
Our only complaints would be that they were cleaning the jacuzzi for the two hours we were in the pool area so never got to use it.
Food at breakfast was nice but as it is a typical "help yourself" buffet set-up, the wait for eggs, beans and sausages was between 20 and 30 minutes. I've never seen such a wait in any hotel I've stayed at.

Great Sunday overnight stay.
SPA is superb and evening meal in the restaurant is special. We normally get lakeside room but room in main hotel has a lot of stairs and NO LIFT!) We booked a cream tea for the Monday after our morning in the SPA.
This is our third Sunday overnight stay. Recommended.

The mercure Albrighton Hall has a lot going for. Large rooms, great spa facilities, a decent bar and the Oak Room restaurant but even more valuable are the many excellent staff working on reception, in the spa and the restaurant.
I can recommend the oak room restaurant. Before we arrived I was cautious as recent reviews were very negative. They complained of very slow service but I received excellent service in the evening as we had a couple of courses and they gave my fiancee a small happy birthday cake. Above that the staff were very welcoming, very helpful, attentive when needed and I can only say my experience was excellent.
My time in the spa was also good, many beds to rest on, lovely warm pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and ice baths. Great place.
Minor negatives, the rooms are good, big tv, great bed, good bedding, nice sofa but the room needs just a little tlc. Nothing major but some guests have damaged the door which needs repainting, decor and paintwork needs sprucing up and minor changes needed in the shower where body wash and shampoo are one end of the shower and shower head is 6 feet away and potentially a fall hazard. Other than that, coffee tea needs better product an not enoug milk and sugar.
Overall I gave it 4 stars, breakfast was OK but sausages overcooked, bacon undercooked and too greasy.
Wpud I go back, definite yes.

Could not get a table in Restaurant on Valentine's evening - fully booked despite being a resident. No mention on Wowcher about having to book table in Restaurant in advance. Never done this in past
Only appears since Radisson took over. No refund available. Never book again.

Very disappointing. We booked two rooms and found that standards at the hotel had significantly declined compared to when we stayed 10+ years ago. Staff were friendly and professional and the food in the bar was good although drinks were pricey (they are in all hotels), choice of breakfast was good, but not memorable. It was the standard of the accommodation that concerned us. Our room was located in the older side of the hotel. Damaged furniture, broken windows, dirty carpets, curtains and upholstery, filthy woodwork in bathroom, and worst of all - large areas of black mould on the wall next to the bed and over the bathroom ceiling. I took photographs to share with the hotel. The receptionist handled my concerns very professionally however it took a number of days for hotel management to resolve by issuing a full refund for both rooms. The stay was a treat for my parents celebrating my mums birthday and the accommodation spoiled this for us.

Sadly disappointing! Booked for birthday treat for my partner. Dirty, basic, food nice but only warm and breakfast items not replenished at 10:15am and was served till 11am. You have to ask for items that have ran out. Pool area is disgusting, some areas not safe and dirty. the thermal suite is better but there’s only a total of three 4 beds for whole hotel and 6 beds around the pool. People sat on the floor to ‘relax’. Grounds are nice but sooo much geese poo around the seating area. I get they are wildlife but must have been a weeks worth, dodge the poo game commenced on arrival! Service very slow in the bar area, so only one drink purchased. This was not the staffs fault as they seemed to be running around the same as I do when in resus at work, they need more bar staff. Lovely friendly staff in all areas especially the Oak room restaurant. This place really needs an injection of funds and TLC. For £235 for one night expected more. Will not return or recommend and will not attempt other Mecure hotels. Have photos of proof but sadly won’t upload.
