This is a great hotel with glorious views of the sea from many rooms including the restaurant. our Executive seaview bedroom was very large, warm, clean and comfortable, with separate bath and walk-in shower. Being opposite the lift made transferring to the bar and restaurant easy for my disabled partner. Parking in the adjacent car park is expensive at £20 per day. Luckily our Blue Badge made us exempt as there is little other parking available nearby. The food was generally excellent although there were problems with the breakfast service (tables not being cleared quickly enough, and items not being replenished in a timely manner when they ran out). But these were fairly minor irritations and I would happily stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at the Carlton Hotel. I would recommend upgrading to a Seaview room.

Lovely hotel and staff, very friendly and helpful. Should be aware that parking is chargeable, and at £20 per night it was expensive. Not sure if regular guests have to pay that or whether its just for Wowcher bookings.

Nice clean rooms with a great view of the sea, housekeeping staff were very accommodating and friendly. Food was nice and tasty and the indoor pool was an added bonus. Couldn’t fault anything would definitely recommend and look forward to returning.

Great stay with friends. Breakfast was delicious, rooms a little old, but were clean. Towels were lovely, the beach is a short walk and even on a cold day os lovely to walk along. Joey checked us in and she was so friendly amd welcoming. Will be back :)

We had my mother’s 100th birthday celebration at the Carlton for about 40 friends and family members. It was an extremely enjoyable occasion. The staff were very helpful and efficient, nothing was too much trouble, and the food was delicious.

Very disappointing hotel.
It advertised a leisure club with sauna and steam room but nothing was working g. All been closed, bar the swimming pool, for four months.
The bar served no real ale, only standard larger and Guinness. Luckily, the nearest Wetherspoons is only 10 mins away.
