Angel is one of the busiest areas in North London and has a ton of things to see and do. Bethlem Museum of the Mind is one of its most visited spots in Beckenham and offers an extensive history of mental health and recovery along with interesting, free exhibitions of artwork and research - all housed within gorgeous Art Deco architecture. Kelsey Park offers serene surroundings for morning and afternoon walks while the Croydon Road Recreation Ground has a range of sports facilities for those who want to get a game going and a cafe for those who want to watch.

Blackheath is almost a hidden treasure, with its rolling green landscapes and historic castles seldom seen in other areas around London. Blackheath Common provides a huge open space you can walk or cycle around - perfect for the long journeys with loved ones on a sunny afternoon. Vanbrugh Park also has its own church, St John’s Blackheath, on the way to the adjoining Greenwich Park, while the Church of Ascension can be found further in and holds regular events in its function room.

Brentwood has lots of outdoor spaces to walk around and fun parks for kids to enjoy. From Old MacDonald’s Farm & Fun Park to the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, there are plenty of places to meet friendly animals while Weald and Thorndon Country Park are home to great trails to walk and incredible wildlife including wild deer. Brentwood Cathedral provides one of the town’s most prominent landmarks while the Gruffalo Trail provides the perfect activity to do as a family!
