Edinburgh Sheraton Hotel Stay for 2: Breakfast, Welcome Drink, Late Checkout & Dinner Upgrade

Welcomed and checked in with ease. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Liked large walk in shower. Hotel didn't appear busy and not many people in dining room. Dinner menu options from our 2 course menu was bit limited and know it was Italian themed but only pasta or pizza fir main course. Breakfast was adequate but bit restricted, onky scrambled eggs and would have preferred food to be labelled, including juices and cereals. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is the perfect hotel for any visits to Edinburgh, Murrayfield just a short walk away one side and centre of town a walk in the other direction. The staff have been amazing would fully recommend a visit here.

The check-in was great, the room was clean and tidy (214) and the breakfast was all you need, hot or cold. The transport links into Edinburgh were a plenty but to be honest it's really only a 15min walk to the Castle. Great friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!!

Lovely staff, Rene especially was very helpful and makes a delicious cocktail. Very attentive service from the bar staff generally who were happy to help. Good pizza and a great Sunday lunch in the restaurant. The rooms are clean and look newly refurbished with very little noise from the street.

Looks a nice hotel handy to get in to Edinburgh 5 minutes on bus or walk ! Rooms modern and bed comfortable!that's what the 2stars are for .On arriving we were given a welcome drink as per the booking ,the pino wine was undrinkable ,which they replaced foc.In the evening we went into the restaurant (which was an Italian type of restaurant) for the 2course meal we were given the only choice menu which for the mains were a choice of pizza or pasta, as I'm not a lover of either I asked for an alternative so the waitress asked the chef and showed me a small plate menu which had a choice of hot dogs or a couple of chicken drumsticks which i turned down going reluctantly for the Bolognese and pasta,we wer quickly served with our bruschetta starter first which was a couple of squares of toasted bread with small tomatoes cut up and a bit of balsamic vinegar which was a disgrace for a supposed Italian rastuarant ,then the main arrived just pasta no sauce and I had to search for any mince ,as we were hungry we ate some of it and left the rest .We complained to the waitress who apologised and shrugged her shoulders! So it looked like they were happy to serve the cheapest of cheap as you were getting a deal ! The breakfast was fine so if I were to go back it would be only bed and breakfast.
