Delicious food. We stopped here for dinner and had a fabulous Sunday roast. The service and food were top quality. Will definitely be returning. We had our dog with us and although we couldn’t eat in the restaurant we ate in the bar side which serves from the same menu. The building and gardens are beautiful.

Fabulous food. What a stunning building in wonderful surroundings. We'd popped in last night for a drink and liked it so much that we decided to return for our dinner this evening. What a great decision that was. David the owner was a terrific host and regailed us with interesting stories of his travels. The food was to die for.

Beautiful Hotel with Wonderful Staff. We spent two nights here; my partner, his son (5) and me. I honestly can't fault the place! The building is beautifully imposing upon arrival, the decor had lots of character. There was a gasp from the back seat as we arrived, "Are we staying here in this castle?!?!" We spent a lot of time in the hotel and loved it! All the staff are lovely - especially the wonderful lady who ran the breakfast service both Saturday and Sunday.

Relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. We’ve just come me back from 5 nights in Maenan Abbey and we’ve had a great time Don’t be put off by some negative reviews, it’s an old building and not the sleek modern hotel you may be used to but we’ve had the best time there The staff are so welcoming and we have had some great laughs with David the owner, he’s a character and our dog Sage loved him, speaking of which dogs are very welcome at the hotel although can’t go in the dining room but we are in the bar was fine The garden is beautiful and although there’s a main road it’s secluded The food is very good and we ate in the hotel a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed it,

DON'T STAY THERE! Currently awaiting a response from the merchant that's not forthcoming. There's no hot water at the property, you have to wait nearly an hour for the booster if someone uses thier jacuzzi in their room. Water didn't drain from the bath resulting in me showering in my shin high dirty water
Found spider, butterfly and a large wasp that was buzzing around at midnight which in turn led to a very sleepless/restless night.
Internet was buffering constantly, leaving it nearly impossible to watch TV.
Very poor to say the least, wouldn't allow my pet to stay here!
