What is there to do in Crete?

Perhaps the island’s most famous tourist attraction is Knossos, once the centre of Minoan civilisation the ruins are an incredible window into the past. Just 5km south of Heraklion, the site is easily reached by anyone wanting to explore the ruins and wander about the Minoan palace, a place connected with thrilling legends, such as the myth of the Labyrinth, the Minotaur, Daidalos and Ikaros.
Away from its ancient history, Crete has spectacular landscapes which make for memorable hikes. Trek through gorges, meander among olive groves and tackle some of the island's highest peaks and you’ll be in for breath-taking views every step of the way.

This wonderful boutique hotel has a great location and friendly staff. Yiannis and Yotta were very helpful. The rooms are very clean and have a lovely balcony. You can get the most spectacular view of a sunset from the restaurant and bar. The food is excellent. A big plus is that you have easy access to parking! If you want the perfect vacation, this is the place to come.

We had a few wonderful days here. Having the beach and swimming pool two steps away is amazing, and all staff is incredibly nice. It feels very relaxed and staff is so helpful. Restaurant is so pleasant and breakfast is great value for money. Cannot recommend enough and we hope to go back one day.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 6 nights, group of 5 ladies, and had a 2 bed apartment. The place had a well equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom and very nicely decorated bedrooms. Sofa bed in the lounge was very comfortable. The view from the balcony was nice, we could see the see line in the horizon. Large dining table to enjoy breakfast in the morning on the balcony. The hotel restaurant had a very good food as well.
