How to Plant & Care
- When to Plant: Scatter from early spring through to autumn (February–October) for blooms from early summer onwards.
- Where to Use: Suitable for garden beds, borders, pots, balconies, window boxes, and wildlife-friendly spaces.
- Light Conditions: Bee, Butterfly, Poppy, and Garden Meadow thrive in sunny spots, while Shade Mix is perfect for dappled light or part-day sun.
- How to Plant: Simply scatter on top of soil and press gently. No digging, burying, or specialist tools required.
- Watering: Water during dry spells until seedlings establish. After that, plants are largely self-sufficient.
- Soil Type: Best in well-drained soil. Wildflowers prefer lower nutrient soils and require no fertiliser.
- Growing On: No thinning required. Allow some flowers to set seed for naturalising year after year.
Design & Planting Ideas
Create a relaxed, meadow-style display by scattering seedballs across beds, borders, patios, balconies, or compact outdoor spaces. Combine multiple mixes for varied heights and extended flowering throughout the season, or plant in clusters for bursts of colour. Ideal for pollinator-friendly gardens, eco-conscious planting, or as a thoughtful gift for nature-loving gardeners.
FAQs
- When will the flowers bloom?
Flowers typically appear from early summer onwards depending on planting time and weather conditions.
- Do I need gardening experience?
No — seedballs are designed for easy planting. Just scatter on soil and allow rain and sunshine to do the rest.
- Can I plant in pots or window boxes?
Yes, these mixes grow well in containers as long as there is good drainage and regular watering during establishment.
- Will they come back every year?
Many varieties will self-seed naturally if flowers are left to set seed, creating continued displays in future seasons.
